This is was a preliminary exploratory study confined to GP Synergy registrars.
The project explored:
- The utility of Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) scores and Candidate Assessment and Applied Knowledge Test (CAAKT) scores in identifying, at selection, registrars who are likely to be ‘problematic’ using administrative compliance as a proxy measure for professionalism.
- The relationship between MMI and CAAKT scores and Pre-GPT1 Assessment, (PGA) scores (as a marker for preparedness for general practice).
The project included registrars enrolled in GP training in the 2018 cohort who planned to undertake GPT1 or PRR1 in the first semester of 2018. Only registrars who had completed selection in the corresponding AGPT application period were included.
