A study of three Regional Training Provider vocational training programs
(Commenced by members of the staff of the GP Synergy Research & Evaluation Unit prior to the formation of the Unit)
This project (2014-16) aimed to document the work demographics and patterns of practice of graduates of the Australian general practice vocational training program (from three RTPs: GP Training Valley to Coast, the Victorian Metropolitan Alliance and Adelaide to Outback General Practice Training), and the associations of these practice patterns, including graduates’ experiences during vocational training.
It was a cross-sectional questionnaire-based study and documented, among other outcomes, performance of nursing home visits, home visits and after-hours work and work hours.
