RACGP Foundation 2019 grants and awards 8 August, 2019 By kerryn In conjunction with our Aboriginal Cultural Education Unit we are pleased to have received the RACGP Foundation Indigenous Health Award funding for the project The diploma in practice management in Aboriginal medical services: Impact on professional and personal development of graduates. GP Synergy’s support of the nationally-recognised diploma is now in its fifth year and more than 70 staff of Aboriginal medical services have graduated from the course. Congratulations to current GP Synergy academic registrar Dr Katrina Giskes for receiving the HCF Research Foundation/RACGP Foundation Research Grant for her project AF SELF SMART – Atrial Fibrillation Self-Screening, Management And Guideline Recommended Therapy. Former GP Synergy academic registrar were also successful with Dr Kylie Vuong being awarded the RACGP Foundation Chris Silagy Research Scholarship for her project Melanoma risk perceptions among Australian general practitioners and Dr Melinda Choy awarded the RACGP Foundation Walpole Grieve Award for her project Understanding international solutions to the digital health divide: A knowledge exchange to improve ehealth disparities in primary care.
